This class is for the initial EMT certification, upon completion you will be recommended to take your NREMT written test.


Once you've received your certification, you will then be able to apply for jobs that would require an EMT certification. Such as industrial jobs, security jobs, fire departments, ambulance services.   

After this course, you may also choose to further your EMS certification by becoming an AEMT, which includes medication administration, IV skills, and airway management skills. (I instruct a winter AEMT Course) Or you can use your EMT certification to apply directly to a University for a Paramedic program.


This course is instructed by myself and other Paramedic’s who have 10 plus years experience in the EMS field.

This program is accredit by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness & the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians

Upon completion of your EMT NREMT written exam, you will be issued a NREMT certification and a State of Utah EMT license.


Tuition Costs

Class tuition $850.00 paid to First Degree Medical Training. Due on by the first day of class.

Deposit of $50 is required to register for the course. This deposit counts toward the $850.00 tuition and guarantees your spot.

Tuition payment includes the following;

  • 120 hours of class instruction

  • 12 hour ambulance clinical

  • Student clinical t-shirt

  • Drug test and MWMC background for Ambulance rides

Additional Costs not included;

  • EMT textbook, price varies. Buy used.  (required first day of class)

  • BEMS License application/background $108.50 (paid within the first 30 days of class)

  • NREMT EMT Written exam fee $80 (paid at the end of class)

  • NREMT Psychomotor exam fee $50 (paid at the end of class)

  • Blood Pressure cuff and Stethoscope

  • Watch with second counter

Finance options;

First Degree Medical Training offers a 3-month payments plan. This will spit up the course tuition into 3 payments of $266.00. First payment due on the first day of class

Choose "payment plan" when you register. 


At least 18 years of age before class ends, or turn 18 within 120 days after the end of class.

TB test, this can be done at your family doctor office or your local health department.
