Emergency Medical Technician program is designed to train the lay person in emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment. It is the entry level of training in the Emergency Medical Services career field. The program instructs the student in medical practices available to pre-hospital personnel, precise patient assessment and management of trauma and medical emergencies, airway management, resuscitation and pharmacological interventions. This program will develop the student's confidence, knowledge and skills in performing critical assessment and management of patient's with medical and trauma related life threats. It also focuses on development of the EMT’s critical role as a team member during patient crisis situations.

2020 Fall Hybrid EMT Course Schedule

15-Week Online/Evening course

Aug 24th - Dec 5th 2020

This is the Fall EMT hybrid course, which mean approx 50% of this course is participating in online lectures, quizzes, and discussion. A laptop/Desktop with home internet is required.

This program is accredit by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness & the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians

Upon completion of your EMT NREMT written exam, you will be issued a NREMT certification and a State of Utah EMT license.

Important annoucment: First Degree Medical Training will not be scheduling community EMT/AEMT courses in 2021. (i need a break) If your company/department would like a private course, contact me for a bid.

Finance options;

First Degree Medical Training offers three payment, payment-plan. This plan requires 50% down $425.00, before or on the first day of class. We will spit up the the remaining course tuition $425.00, into 2 payments of $212.50 that will be due on 9/28/20 & 10/26/20.

Choose "payment plan" when you register. 


At least 18 years of age before class ends, or turn 18 within 120 days after the end of class.
